The aim of this training is to train professionals in Remote Sensing theory and the practical use of image processing software (ENVI ) for plantation officers
To provide this training in context and to ensure that all participants had the
minimum remote sensing knowledge required for plantation data capturing and manipulation.
Module I: FUNDAMENTALS OF REMOTE SENSING
Learning outcomes:
• Understanding of Remote Sensing basic concepts
• Familiarity with the different Remote Sensing products available

• Fundamentals of Remote Sensing
o Electromagnetic energy (spectrum)

Module II: ENVI PRACTICAL SESION
Prerequisites: Basic GIS knowledge required
